Volunteer Charter
FIFIG Volunteer Charter 2025 For FIFIG to thrive, over 160 volunteers, including around twenty year-round, work to welcome the thousands of festival-goers coming to share in key moments: films, debates, concerts, performances, exhibitions..., meet artists, reconnect with other festival-goers, refresh themselves, chat at the bar, and admire the beautiful setting of Port-Lay and Groix for our festival. To ensure that each edition is festive for everyone, here is the charter that we commit to respect, members of the Board of Directors and Volunteers. Thank you for reading and signing it before confirming your wish to join our team and accepting its operational framework.
The FIFIG association commits to:
1. Welcome you, considering you as a full member of the crew.
2. Provide you with meals and drinks in exchange for your energy. Full-time: Breakfast, 2 meals and 4 drinks, Part-time: 1 meal and 2 drinks. Please note 1 pint equals 2 drinks. Each meal will have a balanced vegetarian option. Allergens present will be indicated.
3. Take your wishes and availability into account to propose a position and a schedule.
4. Allow you access to the cinema rooms by reserving seats for you (and beyond depending on available seats) as well as to concert and performance spaces.
5. Offer you the festival T-shirt if you commit to at least 6 half-days over the entire setup-festival-takedown period.
6. Welcome your children at the Children's Island during your volunteering times. *
7. To cover yourself with adequate insurance.
As a volunteer, I commit to:
1. Being on time and ready for service at the appointments set by my team leader and to inform them as soon as possible in case of a major hindrance. (The legendary "15-minute grace period" does not apply during the festival...).
2. Carrying out the tasks and ensuring the activities that will be entrusted to me and that I have accepted.
3. Adopting appropriate behaviour to successfully carry out my volunteer missions and that does not harm the image of the festival. Insulting remarks, aggressive or disrespectful attitudes will result in an immediate suspension of volunteer status.
